If a lunatic goes after DeBlasio, does Pat Lynch have blood on his hands?

How far does all of this go? What if something happens to DeBlasio because some deranged lunatic hears Lynch, gets mad, and goes all Taxi Driver on the mayor? Then, is Lynch responsible?
Is every criticism of anyone that could put a thought in a madman's head responsible for the crime, if it is committed? Where does this end?
Will we begin warning people to NOT level any criticism toward anyone for fear that it could incite a lunatic to commit violence?
I remember when the Left was blaming the Right for Gabby Giffords being shot. It was stupid then and it is stupid now. But, Lynch needs to be careful. Accusing the Mayor of "having blood on his hands" could incite the next wave of violence against the him, right? According to his logic, he is doing the same thing that he abhors, it seems.
Unless it doesn't matter if Lynch says anything and it only matters if DeBlasio says it, which I guess that I could understand, since he is the Mayor and all.
Thoughts?

Shortly after Mayor de Blasio and Commissioner Bratton briefed reporters with tears in their eyes Saturday evening at Woodhull Hospital, asking New Yorkers to pray for the families of the two NYPD officers who were killed by a deranged man in Bed-Stuy on Saturday afternoon, police union head Pat Lynch held a press conference outside. "There's blood on many hands tonight," he said. "That blood on the hands starts at City Hall in the Office of the Mayor."
According to Capital, Lynch, who leads 23,000 officers in the Patrolman's Benevolent Association, also blamed “those that incited violence on the streets under the guise of protest that tried to tear down what NYPD officers did every day. We tried to warn it must not go on, it cannot be tolerated." He added, "When these funerals are over, those responsible will be called on the carpet and held accountable.”

its politics.
honestly if the right wants to use this type of logic they are going to be fricked, as then things like gabby gifford are Palin's fault or newton was caused by lack of gun control.

I think it's pretty unlikely. If DeBlasio were targeted, he'd probably simply be targeted for notoriety and it would be hard to tie it to anything specific (unlike the cop shootings).
I don't hold DeBlasio or protesters "accountable" for the deaths of those cops, but I nonetheless think everyone contributing to this culture of anti-police attitude, especially on absurd premises, should take something from it.
I am no true blue supporter, but these deaths were totally pointless, and were encouraged by a mass of really, really, really stupid people engaging in a political movement without a clear goal and built on 50% falsity.

No one should advocate violence. Wise people should have STFU and let the Justice system play everything out....We running out of wise people is the problem... Politics is another problem, and there just ain't many decent Politicians..

This is all simple, really.
If a leftist says it, it was because some righty drove them to it, thus the fault of a righty.
If a righty says it, it is their fault.
If nobody can be accounted for saying it, then it is a righty's fault.
This logic can be traced to any and all speech and actions. Only righties are responsible for everyone's actions.
Hope this clears this up.

I agree that it'll come back on them, but it is apparently lost to history that Palin had nothing to do with Gifford.

Did Lynch say DeBlasio should be killed?

My gosh, I swear that this has already happened.
And I absolutely despise Palin.

I think the 24 hrs news stations have more blood on their hands than DeBlasio.
DeBlasio has to understand that he's no longer an activist and rabble-rouser. You can't go around inciting hatred towards your own staff and departments. 1. It's a reflection on him and his policies, 2. He's creating more headaches for himself and is undermining his ability to manage the city.

Only if the killer is a cop.

I feel like a common answer would be "he was psycho so it's not her fault, but she gave him the idea."
But yeah I dislike her too.

No, but DeBlasio didn't say that cops should be killed either (I can't believe that I am defending DeBlasio on anything). A lunatic could take Lynch's words as though he needed to exact justice on DeBlasio for being responsible for the death of the cops.
Where does it end?
The people responsible for violence are the ones who do it - unless there is cult leader giving orders like a Charles Manson or something.

I feel like DeBlasio is the kind of guy who weeps in the corner while his wife has sex with other people and stares at him.

That would be women in her case. She was a lesbian, feminist activist before marrying him, and to this day maintains publicly that sexual "labels" are meaningless.

Oh i know, hence the "people" instead of men.
I'm not usually one to talk like that, he just oozes weakness and it sickens me to watch him.

I agree. From a micro-perspective, DeBlasio should support his PD and his comments hurt morale but that's between him and the PD.
The constant shite flowing out of 24h new stations is worse and having a greater impact.

Until then, there is no equivalence.
