My neighbor walked out of his house to climb in his truck and head to his girlfriend's when this big fella stepped out. He was hot on the trail of a doe. Guess you could say they were both looking for love last night.

He covered his bases for the OB.

Arms out defining the spread: Check
Boot in the picture: Check
Obligatory spotlight for nocturnal animals: Check

That's a damn fine buck. I hope the neighbor at lease got to feel love last night after damaging his vehicle.

I thought you were supposed to turn the spotlight off after you shoot as to not draw more attention.

FTF, you seeing anything right now? We have a ton of pics at night, but the woods are a barren waste land during the day.

Looked like he had short G3s and his horns were red as if he had just shed his velvet. I'm guessing he's been rubbing a lot of cedars

About 6 miles north I've been getting a bunch on night pics and haven't seen much. This past week I'm seeing more during the day.

we met a territorial buck yesterday coming back from duckhunting. standing in a field, hooking and pawing, saying come on I'll kick your arse. stayed well over a minute, watching us and looking back at the doe that had ran out behind him in the field. we kept crying that all we had was our shotguns.
