Tiger Games on Local BR TV????

Hi, Im new to this forum. Been lurking a long time cause yall make me laugh WITH the Tigers instead of AT.
I need to get an antennae for my TV and Im trying to figure out if I need a long range antennae to pick up Baton Rouge stations for the Tiger games. I live in St. Tammany(Lacombe)so with the right rabbit ears I can pick up stations from NOLA AND BR but Im not going to spend the extra money on long range ears unless there is something worth watching in BR.
My real question is this...
I dont have cable TV so when Tiger baseball and football games are on ESPN or some other cable channel are they also broadcast on local stations in BR? For example, sometimes Saints games are on both ESPN AND a local affiliate will carry the same broadcast, that way I can watch it on the local affiliate since I dont have ESPN and when its on ESPN only I just go to the bar, but the wife aint gon be too happy with me going to the bar Sunday night AND Saturday night .
Ive never seen this happen with LSU sports. If LSU is on ESPN no local NOLA stations have the game. Ive never lived in BR so I dont know but I figured since LSU is the local team that they may carry it locally there and I might be able to see the game with a local TV station in BR with a long distance antennae.

What about the football games? Are they on local BR TV?

Nope. You will only be able to see LSU games if they are on CBS, which means you might get one basketball game and 2 or 3 football games per year. Everything else will be on SEC Network or ESPN

...and I can get the CBS coverage of the LSU game from a New Orleans CBS broadcast right? So I guess that means there is no advantage to picking up Baton Rouge local TV stations vs New Orleans?
If thats true, thats sad. So locals(BR) cant watch their local football team(LSU) play without a cable subscription(for many games). frick ESPN
