I tell you what Blue. I'll go listen to ONE of their songs. Ironically, I'm asking you which one I should listen to. Blow me away.

C'mon, mon. There is no reason you can't have a copy of A Live One next to Suicidal Tendencies, Double Nickels on the Dime , some Clash, Bad Brains, etc...

I've skimmed a couple of videos. So, this is twenty minute songs that sound like background music. Having tried The Dead in my early years, this is what I thought.
Noodle on brahs.

Basically. I'm no Phish defender. Just have a serious problem with the "I won't listen to it because the people who like them dress funny" argument. To not at least find out for yourself just seems so ignorant and myopic. If I hadn't googled those Florida Georgia Line youtube videos, I would never have known they were the double-headed manifestation of the antichrist.

I inherited the old homestead and my dad's record collection. Thousands. As I was getting those roughly in order I pulled a few hundred into the front of the house a little at a time. There were other issues that kept out on the back burner.

I was wondering why you couldn't suggest a song.

Thank you so much. I wanted to just really just take a couple of seconds just to say how incredibly cool I think this things is. Thank you. I really mean that from the bottom of my heart. LINK

No, but seriously, listen to this and you'll be hooked: LINK

Here is a recommendation: 46 Days 8.1.14

This is a good short, current recording of them playing this past year in Orange Beach. Many MBers were present.

No background music in this.

So, good old dad has a pretty decent collection for an old man. Basic stuff.
But some of it is obscure.
He would hit up garage sales and the salvation army every weekend and buy anything he didn't have a copy of. Except Led Zepplin. I asked him about that, for some reason the old coot didn't like them.
I keep looking at this collection thinking Quentin Tarantino would shite his pants looking for cool unknown songs.

I'm not a music major, I don't really have an appreciation for complexity of music. I need to be grabbed.
Had a friend in a band at one time. He'd ask me about his chord progressions and shite. I'm just like, man I don't know. Throw in a 7th or a diminished or something. If you can grab me, you can grab em all.
