I travel about 25% of the time and find that jeans and a golf shirt are more than comfortable. No ball wedgies unless your jeans are a size too small. It doesn't really bother me what people wear just know that the staff - flight attendants and airport staff -- will treat you differently based off of appearance. You will get a better level of respect by being "presentable" than looking like you just rolled out of bed.

Post 9/11 world, I always look around a plane and see who I think I could count on if shite went down. I don't cout on dudes with bed head, sweatpants, and beats by dre.

To reiterate one of my life truisms - Airports are Wal*Marts with cover charges.

You never know when you might be put into an emergency situation, you should have that in mind when you get dressed before flying

I don't understand the pajama thing either. I can understand sweatpants to a certain extent (even though I would never wear them outside of the house) but fricking pajamas?

The atrocious attire at airports these days is directly correlated to how shitty our country has gotten.

Yep. It's freaking public transportation. I hate flying. Everyone is gross

That said, I live in yoga pants/leggings, which feel like jammies.

I hate it. When not flying SW, I always wear a blazer and check my bags. 90% chance of a first class upgrade.

If you notice the attire of the people around you, you don't fly enough. I couldn't tell you the attire, sex (unless very attractive woman), or race of the last person I sat next to on a plane, much less everyone else.

I wear business or business casual for 95% of my flights. The other five are shorts, t-shirts, sweatpants, whatever. If you happen to catch me on one of those flights, don't be mad that I board first, sit in the front, and don't even know you exist.

To you and every other somewhat fit woman, don't stop. Don't ever, ever stop. And God bless.

Why does everyone say they wear sweatpants to be comfortable. Jeans aren't exactly wool pants.

Anytime flying I wear LSU attire. It would look as if I'm going to recruit someone.

I'm gonna be a comfortable on the plane. I don't care what uneasy looks everyone seems to give me. It's easier for me to fall asleep on the damn plane wearing my comfort outfit. Here's a picture of it:

Sweatpants don't usually require a belt that has to be removed when going through security. I generally go with something like this :

And never lace-up shoes. I prefer Skechers.

Jeans, polo, and sperrys are my winter go to to fly. Polo, shorts and flip flops in the summer.
