What's so funny about overcoming a 21-point halftime deficit and winning?
Sumlin could very well possibly do something in a little over a week that has never been done in A&M History and that's win 3 straight bowl games.
He'd also be only the second A&M coach to win 3 bowl games total (it took Slocum 11 tries).
No A&M coach has ever won 4 bowl games period.

I don't understand why TAM doesn't just throw silly money at a proven DC. They could've outbid AU for Muschamp I bet. Or is the defensive talent that bad?

Chavis thing is likely not true.
But I do think there might be some merit to the "They tried, that's what screwed them."
I think at a certain level, another $100k or so a year isn't as important as having family close by or staying pat at a place you know (Chavis, Foster etc.)

Your missing it. Even with a horrible year, A&M is still recruiting better than it has since the early to mid 90s. We have something to sell one of the largest population of high school talent, "play in the SEC, stay in Texas". That isn't going away until the SEC becomes less relevant.
Unfortunately, most of the HS talent in texas focuses on offense, where the rest of the SEC seems more balanced. I don't see that changing.

False....Does anyone have a link to the story about Foster signing his extension at VT? You know, the one that VT mods said was on his desk a week and a half ago and ready to sign? If someone could find that that would be great....just want to make sure we can cross him off the list and all.....
