Just gonna be me and the kids (18&21) tonight so I figured I'd pick up Chinese and we'd watch a flick together.

I'm thinking maybe something sci-fi or comedy or maybe light adventure. I'd rule out (for the tastes of different ones of us) romances, war movies and probably cowboys and sports movies.

So, whaddya got?

Guardians of the Galaxy is a good suggestion.

When the Game Stands Still. Maze Runner.

I know we'd all like Guardians. That's one we all saw in theaters. I was actually thinking of getting it anyway for a rematch.

Here are a few I don't think any of us have seen in some genres that I think would appeal to all three of us. But I don't know about the quality of the individual movies. Any stinkers in here? Any outstanding movies? Or anything along these lines:

This is the End
Thor Dark World
Dallas Buyer's Club
Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug
Enemy
HER
X-Men, Days of Future Past
American Hustle

Solid movie, but I don't think it's the type of thing I'd think of watching with my dad.

Of those you listed go with

Hobbit
Thor
Days of Our Future Past

Wouldn't want to watch

This is the End
Dallas Buyer's Club
American Hustle

with my day.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Of those listed, my preferred order is: X-Men DOFP, Edge of Tomorrow, the latest Thor, Maze Runner.

Though my daughter has already told me "I'll find something better than your list". So I may be out of luck on watching something I actually want to watch.
