Acorns reduces/eliminates fees effective 1 January

Eliminated the .5% annual fee for accounts under $5,000

Reduced the annual fee from .5% to .25% for accounts containing more than $5,000

Dropped the $1/month fee on accounts over $5,000

So, if you have less than 5k you pay $1 per month and that's it. It was $1/month AND .5% per year.

If you have more than 5k you pay .25% annually instead of the original .5% annual fee.

This is good news.
