Seems pretty simple to prove. If they have records of you being on gmail, they should have records of her being on at the same time on the same day. Transaction history proves you're telling the truth.
I would go over her head and bring it directly to whomever she was reporting you to.
But seriously, find a new job. I couldn't imagine a place making a fuss over checking your e-mail at work. Hell I'm sitting at my desk as I type this.

Wait, are you sure she realizes that you were only on then to help her? What could be the harm in reminding her of this? If she still pursues it, just write a rebuttal explaining it and give it to her higher up.

This. Setting aside the fact that his boss is a retard, she is also an a-hole for writing him up for helping her. I'd be putting together an. exit strategy as priority one, and trying to clear my name as priority two.

This crossed my mind, but even if she didn't realize this, she's still a hypocritical count for writing him up because she was on her own personal email at the time.

Relax guys, I said she tried to write me up... not that she actually did. After I explained to her that I was helping my boss email something (later remembered it was actually her, my manager, I was helping) she didn't write me up... but it's still the principle of the matter for her trying to write me up over something so frickin stupid, which was actually her fault.

Log into the admin database or have your tech department go into the network and retrieve the cookies on her desktop. This will validate the exact time and type of file she was stupidly trying to download but couldn't. Take the file to the owner/upper management and plead you case as to why the file has no validity to you. You have a case for rebuttal, but be smart about.

I work for a small business... I'm the closest thing they really have to a onsite tech department... why do you think I was the one walking her through how to send an attachment in a email.
Y'all underestimate the amount of dumb non-tech savy people still roaming this world.
they can't even network a printer. and even after it's been set up, shared, and networked.... they still manage to delete/un-enable it somehow.. baffles the shite outta me.

Working on it. But actually she is really good at what she does that doesn't involve computers or being a manager... I actually respect her for that.. but damn she can be dumb as frick about other shite.
