When I think of Cultish Football teams its Penn State and Bama.

At least bama issues are the fans only right now

Atleast bama fans molest goats and not kids.

Really?

What is his point?

All that assclown ever talks about are his dad and Penn St on twitter. Never mentions the victims.

His point is pretty straight forward, read it again.

He feels his father was wronged and is voicing his opinion, and many agree with him.

He's comparing the most horrific scandal in the history of American sports to Michigan wanting to overpay a coach. Little different.

His father was told that an assistant saw it. He reported it to the AD then allowed it to be covered up. He should have called the police, as a coach on a football team he should be considered a mandatory reporter.. I have a teaching license and I am a mandatory reporter.

The emails make it pretty clear they all new something was rotten in Denmark.

They covered it up.

Joe and his family deserved even worse than they got. Protecting a pedo to protect your own name, is despicable. If everyone had done the right thing at the right time, then it would have been a non issue.

His son really is a moron to compare over paying a coach to looking the other way as children are molested.

Social media gives every idiot a podium and a mouthpiece. Took me nearly a year to start wearing my Penn State gear after all of that crap.

I'll never understand why Joe Paterno didn't run to the police. He would have salvaged his legacy & his job.

According to an indepth article on the Penn. State program under Paterno, at the time his teams were having many numerous arrests for a wide variety of criminal violations, Paterno went to the university's administrators & demanded that he be given full authority to handle any/all criminal violations committed by his players. Local & State police were quoted as he was always sticking his nose into their business & demanding this or that. He was not well liked by either of those two law enforcement agencies. So that is why he did not "run to the police", mutual dislike.

Paterno at that point was simply a symbol. He had no control or decision making at that point during those last years. So the blame for the runaway train started with JoePa and ended with the rest of the administration that let it continue. They damn near killed a highly recognized academic university with that crap.

And I've maintained all along the bigger focus should be the victims. That's why as part of the largest alumni association on the planet, we continue to raise awareness and a ton of money to try and prevent this disgusting crap that is unfortunately associated with a great school.

Paterno and his family needs to fade away and let Penn State move on. Enough is enough.

Congrats.

Michigan is a step above Penn St.

I will say that, given the attention on Michigan during this hire, it has become apparent that the Michigan program and its fans are kind of strange. I can see now why the shift of power is happening towards Michigan State.
