They should have set up a screen at the DMZ and screened it for the South Korean and U.S soldiers to watch and let them hear the laughter / cheering

What a fricking mess, and now people will advocate giving the government more power to defend us against cyber attacks because we're too chickenshit to do it ourselves Really disappointing decision by Sony.

I agree with you, but I think you have cause and effect reversed. Sony is only reacting to the American public which has already clearly ceded their privacy and other rights to the government.

The message terrorists should hear is "business as usual"

Then they go away

I think the redskins tried a tactic similar to this. Not sure if it worked yet.

Yup.

Stock barely took a hit. Sony still has a window where they can release the movie and make way more money than they ever expected. And if they don't release the movie, they have insurance covering a good % of the loss

Why I do I think this whole thing is hoax-ish? Is this a smear job to revive SOPA?

Oh my god, yes, they were afraid to build a replica partly because they were scared

Are you serious?

I'm not saying it was the only variable jamming up the works.

Sony still could have found smaller theaters willing to play it, but they decided to pull the plug

The families wanted a memorial, the city wanted commerce.

That was the hold up.

Yes I know, surely you don't think that was it.

The design was the next step, and that had debate. Meanwhile the businesses nearby suffered

Regardless, I'm fixated on Sony's awful decision
