I honestly think it would be a wise decision for him.

And obviously good for the Tigers as well.

Mills has no reason to come back and is one of the most versatile draft eligible DB's. He's been good to great for us and him leaving only puts one of the more talented younger guys in his spot. I love Mills and he's been my favorite DB since his freshmen season and I hope he does well in the NFL. He was a 2 star in a lot of services

But seriously, this is HUGE for the defense if he comes back. A line with Bower, Lacouture, Godchaux, Hunter, Valentine, Thomas, Gilmore, Bain, Herron, Clark, and Teuhema is nasty.

A couple of those guys will probably look for playing time elsewhere though.

Still blows my mind he only had 1.5 sacks this year, despite having 12 tackles for loss, he lived in the backfield.

If he could get some high sack numbers, he's a 1st rounder.

Ok, so ive read a couple of people saying "Jeremy Hill said the same thing last year at this time" and yes, this is accurate. The difference is this year, only 5 get draft grades, which DH is one, but the only give a grade of "Stay in school to improve stock" or "Possibly drafted in round 1-3". Im not saying he would or wouldn't be a 2 or 3 round pick, but id lean towards a no. So in the past maybe he would have gotten a grade of 3-5 where as now, hell get "Stay in school". Im optimistic about him.

Alexander on the other hand....

Hunter,Kwon and Hawkins coming back would make me and everyone very excited for next year. The leadership they would bring alone would be irreplaceable.

And Jeremy Hill had issues keeping himself on the field at times...and whether that was his fault or simply the environment he consistently found himself in doesnt matter. He needed to do what he had to do to better himself. Danielle Hunter on the other hand seems very good at handling himself off the field, and he doesnt have much of an injury history (knock on wood).

ETA: Basically if you are a fan of Jeremy Hill, then you would have wanted to see him go. He was easily talented enough, and the change of scenery so far has proven to be a big positive to him, and NFL RB's dont have a long shelf life.

Hunter is being rated a 2nd rounder on average by draft sites, some as high as 1st, some go as low as 4th....he's definitely an upper rounder this year though, I highly doubt the 1st though, the 2nd round I very easily see.

Like I said though, come back and get some big sack production, 1st rounder EASY, plus, you'll have your degree already.

I'll miss the Jalens and Kwon if they leave, but I would rather have Hunter stay than any of them. No knock on the first three, I just feel like LSU has more depth with the DBs and LBs than at DE.

I don't expect Kwon to declare, he's just not going to be drafted high at all. Hawkins supposedly earlier was telling folks he has to declare for money reasons, but I guess we will see.

I know some places have rated Jalen Collins very high but I see him as a mid-late rounder more than first few rounds.

This is encouraging news about Hunter, but I'm taking it with a very small grain of salt because he's easily our highest rated player this year (underclassmen wise). I think Vadal will be the 2nd highest and possibly go in the mid rounds.

I met him right as he came in/I left school and he seemed like a well spoken man and a class act. His potential is out of the roof but I think another year to establish his name would be greatly beneficial. With improved play at DT, Danielle could have a great year

Wow. I considered him a 100% lock to leave. If hunter comes back we are going undefeated.
