The thread is about actual stalkers, not someone who could be or is bordering on being a stalker. To be labeled or thought of as a "stalker" it infers that the person has not taken 'no' for an answer after multiple attempts to rebuff their advances, so being a "dick" or rude to them is somewhat justified.
