I noticed something jogging around the hood a couple days ago. They had two chicks running packages every time the truck stopped. Kinda wonder if they marked them delivered and then left ours on the truck.

Crime Alert: There are reports across the country of thieves stealing packages from people's front porches. It has been happening around the Baton Rouge area. Here are a few helpful tips:
1) Request from the shipper that your packages be delivered to your back/rear door that is not visible from the street.
2) Place a note by your front door requesting the delivery person to leave the package by your back/rear door.
3) Be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles following UPS, FedEx or mail carriers. They could be watching where deliveries are made, then circling the block and grabbing your delivery package.
4) Consider having packages delivered to your place of work if allowed or to a residence where you know someone will be home.

Emailed Amazon last night. They are re shipping the order to be here by Friday. They really are an awesome company with regards to customer service. It's 4:00pm now and still not a word from fedex after we filed a claim last night.

So the thief can read it and go to your backdoor? No thanks. You can usually leave a comment/request when ordering online. Write there to deliver to back door.

Thieves are the biggest pieces of shite on earth next to rapists, murderers, and child molesters. I read a story on wafb last night how someone was burglarized and they stole everything under their Christmas tree. That takes a true piece of shite to do that.

I'll post an update to my dilemma from last week.

Bought from a "Marketplace" seller. Item was delivered but it was a step down from what I ordered. Seller offered refund if I shipped it back, but shipping was $96.

Amazon gave me two choices:

(1) They would send me a pre-paid shipping label and I could ship it back to the Marketplace seller, and they would send me the correct item (listed at $300, so I paid $217 for a $300 item)

(2) They would refund me the entire amount of the order ($217) and I could keep the item that was sent.

We chose to take the latter.

Damn. I wonder what they do to the marketplace sellers when stuff like this happens?

i wonder about folks riding through hoods and scooping up deliveries during the holidays.

Pretty shocking that doesn't happen constantly.

Someone could seriously just slowly follow the UPS guy, grab the packages take off.

It would also be fun as frick having a legit Christmas having no idea what each and every box contained. I am not a TPOS so I am not condoning it, but if I were i'd totally be there.

That and just randomly going to airports and grabbing someone's luggage. Some dumb arse walks into a store to steal a few bucks worth of snacks when there are these unsuspecting gold mines out there.
