My personal favorite isn't the best, but it's good. It's Jimmy Kelly's. It's my favorite because we've eaten there for years.

Are you interested in suggestions that don't involve generic steakhouses and / or landlocked mountain-country seafood restaurants?

Kayne is the "it" spot for steakhouses currently in Nashville LINK

It is On Mstreet as well. If you are a 25-35er wanting to cruise some more upscale bars this is the place to be. And if you are single, then

Went to The Southern the last time we were in town. I didn't get a steak, but one of the members in our party did and it looked incredible. All the food was really good there.

Ate at The Southern a couple of days ago for lunch so we didn't do a big steak or heavy lunch but it was awesome. The shrimp BLT and BBcubano were delicious. We'll definitely be back. Make reservations btw.

I second Jimmy Kelly's, Kayne Prime is supposed to be the best in the city but i have never eaten there. Sperry's is also fantastic. One of my favorite places at the moment is urban grub, fantastic steaks, and great seafood options. I order whatever the fish special is every time I go.

The wife and I have dinner reservations for the Southern on 12-29. It has gotten rave reviews here the last week or so.

I was just there over Thanksgiving weekend and had some solid meals. Ones that stood out:

Marche for lunch
Pinewood Social for brunch
Lockeland Table for dinner
The Patterson House for drinks
