Why isn't the NRA doing anything about Tamir Rice?

Ohio is an open carry state.
Cleveland has been an open carry city since the courts rules Ohio's open carry law pre-empts any gun laws the city passes.
Tamir Rice had a right to carry a loaded 30-06 around if had wanted. He had a pellet gun.
Why isn't the NRA up in arms over a citizen being summarily executed for legally carrying a weapon?

The 911 calls from other Wa-Mart shoppers reported Tamir was pointing his "gun" at other customers.

There are a lot of relevant issues related to this story. The cops didn't appear to handle it well. There was poor communication between the dispatch and police. The officer had been previously dismissed. The parents lets their child run around unsupervised with a gun.
Rather than discuss these issues, you would rather politicize a tragic event with relatively unrelated issues. That's quite despicable for someone who presents himself as rational and intelligent.

The witness lied about the guy pointing the gun at anyone or trying to load bullets in the gun and the video shows it never happened.
