One home on my block has a yardfull full of inflatables-

Santa, Frosty, Reindeeer, even Peanuts characters in Christmas attire.

I counted over 20.

It's not a particularly large front yard, and these inflatables cover almost the entire thing.

Looks trashy/tacky to me.

What's the OT's take on inflatables?

I think these can sway either way.

I hate the damn things, so yes, they're trashy.

Covering your entire yard with anything like that is definitely trashy.

They've got young kids. Young kids love those things. Leave them alone. In a few years, they'll be gone and replaced with whatever the trending light style is. (Been there)

Sounds like you have a photographic memory... too bad there's no film and the lens cap is glued on.

Inflatables are light years better than the molded plastic characters we grew up with and overall I like to look of them.

If you fill your yard with anything it will look trashy.

Exactly. I have never decorated the outside of the house, except for a wreath my wife hung, until last year. My daughter was 5 and my son 6 months, so I strung some lights on the porch, in the bushes, and we had a couple of small inflatables my daughter picked out. A little 3 foot penguin and snowman. The penguin didn't work this year when I put them out, so it is just the snowman. They like them, and it takes less than an hour to put the whole thing up, set it on a timer, and forget about it until after Christmas.
