The Affair

sorry for posting two threads but thought this should be its own.
wife and I are late to the party on this, only through episode 4.
first things first, we both like the show and like the actors and think its well made, however after last nights 4th episode we both said the same thing. we get it, hes having an affair and they cant keep their hands off each other, when are we going to get to some action?
also, is it me or are both of their viewpoints kind of one in the same? I guess from her viewpoint its more dark and shes more depressed and in his shes more jovial and upbeat.

It's definitely slow, but it does pick up a little.

The writers are trying to give you the view from each perspective and letting you try to decide which party is spinning the narrative to make themselves look better (or they both are).
