LINK

this was one of the best interviews I've see from an athlete about the current climate of these social issues we are facing. Ben Watsons comes second but all his preaching at the end of his written piece could rub people the wrong way.

Andres thoughtful and reflective response was the perfect counter to that low life police union president who demanded an apology and suggested that NFL players, who are also american citizens, are "pathetic" and "pathetic when they think they know the law."

What exactly do you want to discuss?

You know damn well this doesn't belong on the MSB.

Yea.

Two downvotes.
Two insults.

Great interview. I have spent countless hours studying and researching the criminal justice system in our country, and can empathize with the black male prediciment in our nation.

But that interview sheds a glimmer of light in what being black in America offers.

There should be riots in Cleveland right now over the killing of that kid.

And it's nice to see an articulate athlete who knows and speaks about the root of the issue of criminal justice. It's kind of like the exact opposite of the Heat posing in their hoodies last year.

Awesome find.

The killing of the kid was much worse than the ferguson stuff. The video was like watching GTA unfold in real life.

Rest assured that some mouth breathing dipshit (or several) will be here soon to defend it.

I haven't seen anyone defend what happened in Cleveland, but go ahead and "mouth breathe" while you wait for someone to

I have zero problem with this interview or his stance in this particular case, i just think he should have addressed it just as he did in the speech, using his voice as a platform. So the problem i have is, with all the anger and flat out scary opposition to police right now, i think the T-shirt comes across as anti-police an inflamatory....thats every bit as dangerous in my opinion! Yes, once you hear him speak and address the issue, it comes across as sincere, towards both sides of the debate, but i just think that it was piling on, on an already volitile issue in this country. Its a tough issue and side to be on in America right now for sure!

Without the shirt, there would be no platform. It was because of the shirt that the police demanded an apology, that the Browns org. refused, and that the media interviewed him.

Al Sharpton "led" a rally in DC the other day, where the most noteworthy chant was:

"What do we want?"

"Dead cops!"

"When do we want them?"

"Now!"

Strong Safety, I keep hoping for you to evidence even a "smidgen" of objectivity regarding any issue which contains a black/white component. Sadly, I know that I'm never going to see that from you.

And regarding the police demanding an apology from the Rams for what a few of their players did, could at least acknowledge that the "Hands up! Don't shoot!" narrative was proven to be as bogus as someone claiming that the Easter bunny is real?

Just a smidgen of objectivity, SS. Just a smidgen, brother.

Would you like to watch the 'objective' video of the officer shooting a 12 year old within 2 seconds of exiting his car? I can promise you it hasn't been doctored by SS.

Y'all are so intent on shutting Strong Safety up that you're letting it alter your perceptions of what is wrong and right. This killing was despicable. I don't care who brings it to my attention.

The only pathetic people in this situation are the worthless police Union president and the killer cops on our streets.

Now I'll admit, I am a radical libertarian with anarchist leanings, but I am loving how people are finally starting to wake up and realize that cops are not our friends. Now I want to see some results, as in drastically reduced funding for police forces across the country.

How about "objectively" reading my post?

I was responding to ss slamming the St. Louis police for requesting an apology from the Rams.

"Hands up! Don't shoot!" NEVER HAPPENED!

But, that means nothing to ss. He'll use anything he can to further his ridiculous agenda.

Most of us had heard about the story before Strongsafety mentioned it. The problem is that he is like the boy who cried wolf when it comes to race issues so most people on here see him for what he is

Ok ok sorry, I get all that. He just happens to be right in the Cleveland case, I just hope it's not lost because it's a messenger everyone cant stand.

Protesting the killing of the kid in Cleveland is 100% understandable. frick the Ferguson protesters, they allowed themselves to be manipulated.

Protest where it's appropriate. That kid getting gunned down pisses me off and I don't get pissed off very often.
