He's clashing with the management/ownership in San Fran. Will move across the bay after the season.

They've sucked for years then he brings them back. What's the problem?

He doesn't want to leave, they want to get rid if him. He must be the biggest asshat to work with on planet earth.

It stems to an issue with Alex Smith and JH pursuit of Peyton Manning before he went to Denver.

It's much much bigger than that now.

Is the problem with Harbaugh and the GM Baalke clashing? If so, why not fire the GM instead?

This is the big mystery but obviously at some point the owner sided with Baalke for whatever reason.

I won't be surprised if Baalke ends up getting fired instead.

That's my dumb question. What is going to be different at his next stop? Maybe he needs to buy his own team if he wants to control everything.

He definitely wants total control and to install a puppet GM to ostensibly do his bidding. The mystery is why Jed York doesn't oblige him. Looks like the Raiders are going to give that too him though and maybe the Jets too.

I won't say that isn't true, but I have yet to see anything that is proof positive that backs it up. Perhaps people are speculating based on things the GM Baalke has leaked?

You might be right. I really hope that is the case. I'm just saying that because there has been no smoke at all about Baalke being fired and Harbs retained. That's what 99% of the 49ers fanbase wants though.

It just blows my mind that they would let Harbaugh go. He is the most valuable asset they have.

Didn't Baalke build the team?

He didn't become GM until 2011. He has been in the front office for awhile and is one of like 4 people who built the team though. That said the team wasn't winning until Harbaugh was hired.
