I think the best approach is to take it for what it is.

We will take the win. Hope to build on it. However until this team shows some form of week to week consistency I refuse to have much faith in a team that at best can finish 8-8 and have a losing record at home.

If that is directed at me.....

I realize exactly what our chances are. I'm not amazed by a throttling of a Bears team that has quit. I give us and Atlanta about even odds with the Panthers being the slight favorite based on their defense.

I also do not lose my shite needing to come bleed all over the board in order to make my pussy arse feel better. Chicken littlest are the worst.

Agreed. But if we win the Super Bowl, we'll never talk about this shitty season.

Yeah, nobody is fooled by anything. People are just happy the Saints won after getting embarrassed by what was a 3-win team last week at home. Chicago is bad and getting worse, but the Saints could have been even worse in the cold and wet conditions, but they executed well.

In two weeks, football may be over for another year. Just stfu and enjoy it. I've been wanting this team to pack it in but I'd be lying to myself if I wasn't happy we won convincingly (regardless if it's a bad team) and that I would be so pumped to watch a Saints playoff game.

To reiterate my main point, STFU.

It was a good win and we will take it. First win with the division lead on the line. Now we play for the playoffs.

He is not the only one.

I have been talking about draft position for weeks now...at the same time I still think that even with this team and given the right breaks there is no telling what we can do in post season play.

Defensively we just destroyed an NFL QB with our best DLineman held in check the whole game.

If Edebali can basically be a Glenn Foster(Underrated Depth Player) we have been missing all season. If our front 7 can wreck havoc or even get push...the back 4 really doesn't matter as much.

Do I or anyone else expect Hawthorne to get 3 sacks ever again in his career...no.

Galette, Jenkins, Hicks, Jordan, Edebali, and Walker though can make things happen and "SHOULD" impact games. When they are on...we can be good...real good.

its called being real. every time the saints go out and put in a respectable performance, they usually fold the next game. just don't assume we takin it to the ship just because we won one game against a bad team.

I know this team isn't going to the Super Bowl. But we just won. I'm not going to be a Debbie downer for no reason.

This. I am so sick of this "WE WON! WE'RE BACK!" bull. I love the Saints as if they were my kid but I'm not about to forget everything I saw so far in the heat of the moment. I also hate when you say something real about this team that isn't a positive, you're instantly a "hater". Happy for the win, but I'm not buying in yet.

Were there a lot of people saying "WE'RE BACK!!!" after the game? The OP pointed out about the only dude that didn't have a sack on D tonight. He was being overly negative. Everybody knows Atlanta will be much more challenging.

I'll say it. We're back, we're winning the division, then we're getting hot in the playoffs and winning the superbowl.

Unless Payton bolts for Michigan.

Agree, Saints should have been up 28-0 at half and won this game 56-0!!!!!!! Saints would have lost this game to a better team!!!!
