Arse's Fatty Rewind™ (Christmas Parties edition) UPDATED pg 3

I had four Christmas parties this weekend. They were all special and unique in their own way. My body feels great.
Friday, I ran to my brother's for a little family dinner. The lady made a chicken pot pie from scratch, and I grabbed some Beam. My bro had purchased some fancy cupcakes.
The pot pie was spectacular and warm. The peas and carrots were cooked to perfection, and the pastry was crispy. My lucky brother got to keep the leftovers. I took the cookie dough cupcake, and it was outstanding.
After dinner, I had to drive to Harahan to attend a Christmas party at the Magnolia Plantation. There was another event going on during the party, which resembled the finest Rummel wedding I could imagine. They had a nice spread and several hor d'oeuvres being passed around. I grabbed a cup of gumbo, which was satisfactory for reception hall gumbo. I also grabbed some fried shrimp and crab cakes being passed around. The crab cake was my favorite. The bourbon was cheap and terrible.
They had a dj, who I believe may have been playing from cd's. His collection of music was amazing. He had a lot of line dances and country music. I left after "Country Girl, Shake it for Me" came on.
I was a little young for the crowd.
I headed back home and went to bed. I awoke early as usual on Saturday to run some errands. I was craving lox. This was a sign that I did not drink enough the night before.
I headed to Stein's Deli around 8:15. They were fricking closed!!!! What bagel place doesn't open that early on a Saturday. Since I didn't want to wait around until 9, I headed to Petite Amelie and grabbed a bagel. The lox, tomato, capers and onion were very tasty. My only complaint is that the bagel was not that good, and it wasn't toasted enough.
After breakfast, I walked to my car and saw my buddy cleaning Lafitte's. I walked in to discuss his prior night's events with his boyfriend. He let me grab a drink and throw on some slow jams.
After my songs ran out, I headed home to shower. It was around lunch time so I decided to go to the newly re-opened Martin's. The parking was much better than it was previously, and the layout of the store has changed too. It seems a lot bigger and open. The kitchen is in the very back of the store now.
It seemed like Cedric has hired at least 50 people to work in the store. They were bumping, and the staff was very friendly.
I went with the Californian sandwich with turkey, avocado, sprouts, tomato on 7 grain. I also grabbed some fries and a lemonade.
The quality of the food had not changed, and I can't wait to go back. I wish they had steak fries though. I'll inquire about them next time.
I also was seated next to former FDB poster Tigerattorney. I didn't want to ask him where he's been.

After lunch, I returned home to relax for the two parties later that night. I grabbed some Beam and watched the Army-Navy game.
The first party was in Belle Chasse. It was hosted by some guy who has a Hogs team. He made all of the food. My favorites were his pate, pork and fig/bleu cheese cookies.
I hogged the pate. I can eat that shite all day. The cookies were remarkable. The first bites were sweet, then a while later the subtleness of the bleu cheese kicked in. I'll have to get his recipe.
After a couple of hours, we headed to the second party. It was for the Knights of Peter Claver in the 9th Ward. The event was held at St. Mary's of The Angels gymnasium. It was byob(f). I brought some Beam and some wings for the guys. The wings were decent. I prefered the ones with sauce.
The ladies were line dancing up a storm to some songs I've never heard before. DJ Starsky and Hutch was working hard on the 1's and 2's.
After an hour of jamming out, the lady and I headed to Lafitte's for a nightcap. I grabbed a Beam, she grabbed a Eggnog. We then got home around 1:00.
I awoke early to head to mass and receive communion. After mass, I headed to Lafitte's again to meet for breakfast. After not being able to decided on a place to go, I decided to just have Verdi Mart deliver me and the bartenders breakfast. I got three eggs, home fries and a few Beams. The breakfast was $16 for 3, and it was delicious.
The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were fried lightly but perfectly.
I waited at the bar until 1 to wait on some friends so that we could head to Maurepas for the last party. It was at our friends' house who live along the Diversion Canal. By the time we left, I think I had thrown down 4 doubles. So I decided to slow it down and grab one for the road.
We got there around 2. The weather was amazing, and the party was pretty lively inside and outside. There was plenty of food to go around. My favorites were the gumbo, home made mini-muffs, and crab dip.
After drinking some more Beam, I headed to the dessert table. The pralines and strawberries were the best.
Around 6, we decided to head back home. I was dropped back of at Lafitte's with my "to-go" plate and called a cab. When I got home, I checked to see that I had won again in Fantasy and passed the frick out.
My body is prepping for the Lafitte's Christmas party tonight. It will be a long remainder of the year.
Stay fat, my friends.

p.s...My bro probably had the most fantastic arse meal this weekend. He got a Chicago style hotdog pizza. He said it had too many pickles.
p.s.s....whoever trolled the bar with this song yesterday, outstanding job.

It had relish and pickles. Good, but the pickles were overwhelming the Chicago Dog slice.

My aunt told me I am crazy. I'm sure I'll be rebuked in the name of Satan by several recipients.
