That would be a slaughter. Military would be lucky to make it out the Midwest , much less the Deep South.

you're right it would be a slaughter...but you are wrong about who would be slaughtered.

I sure do love good old boys who think because they were smart enough to purchase a hand gun they can take on the world.

We cannot even control a foreign country like Iraq or Afghanistan where civilians are armed. What makes you think the US military can control a country with 300 million and just as many if not more firearms.

In the incredibly unlikely scenario the U.S. military along with any other department went door to doir to disarm Americans, there would be a bloodbath. Just because our military has training and superior firepower doesn't mean it will be able to win a war against an organized civilian ran rebel force.

Nope. Impossible.

I heard he was ISIS.
Apparently the only member of ISIS who didn't own his own flag. Must not have gotten his membership packet yet.

The only people who could could lead in a way as to cause such a revolt by the American people are the nutcases who think it is their duty to stay on alert to overthrow the country as soon as someone tells them they should.

I don't really agree with this. You might be surprised to know what kind of people end up "leading" insurgencies.

I meant that they would be the group that could take power that people would revolt against. Sarah Palin but less intelligent.

Can't be a gunman, I am told every day how Australia has tough guns laws that work perfectly. Must have something else.

At least 2 people are confirmed dead. I am guessing one was the nutcase hostage taker. Supposedly he was out on bail for trying to hire someone to kill his wife and at least one sexual assault. They have video of him standing on a street corner by himself holding up a sign saying that he was tortured. May as well have read "The End Is Near."

I'm not sure what point you think you're making. Whatever it is, you didn't succeed.

Yay multiculturalism

What does this mean? You only want one culture in each place or what?

Some mosques, synagogues and churches held prayer vigils in Sydney and other Australian cities this evening

They had to make sure to mention that first of all, some mosques were holding prayer vigils. Disgusting.

Homogenous societies have less conflict and are usually the best places to live.

There are very differing ideas of multiculturalism. The one almost everyone accepts is that there will be different cultures which exist next to each other in our melting pot of a society. The one which academia and progressives love (and which damages a society, IMO) is the idea that non-Western cultures deserve special accommodations in our society in order to provide "equality" for them. These accommodations could be legal, financial, social or ritualistic.
