An escort arranged for two men to barge into the home of a client and steal a safe kept in the closet where the thieves would have found more than $100,000 in gambling winnings that belonged to the client's mother, according to court records.

Police arrested the woman, Alexia Lauren Carrillo, Wednesday on suspicion of armed robbery, burglary, prostitution and identity theft, according to court records, but are still looking for the two men who barged into the Avondale house in October when Carrillo returned for what appeared to be a second tryst with her client.

Investigators ultimately tracked Carrillo down through a West Valley strip club where she worked under the stage name Motivation, according to court records.

The story began to unfold in late October when a man, whose age and identity were not revealed, went on backpage.com to find an escort because his parents, who he lives with, were out of town, according to court records.

During the course of their interaction, Carrillo mentioned to the client that she worked at Xplicit, a Glendale strip club, and the information would ultimately help lead to her arrest, according to court documents.

After the man paid Carrillo $200 for a sex act, she left the house but texted the client shortly after telling him she was getting high and wanted to return, police said.

Carrillo returned to the home but as soon as her client went to shut the door, two men, one of whom was armed, burst into the house and ordered the client to take them to the safe, according to police reports.

The client took the men to a closet where his parents kept a safe and the men ordered him on to the ground and covered him with a sheet, police said. When the client realized the men and his escort had left the house he got up to find his parents' room ransacked and jewelry missing along with the safe, according to court records.

The man's mother contacted police after returning to town and provided receipts and tax documentation to show there was $100,000 in casino winnings that she kept in the safe in vacuum-sealed bags, police said.

Investigators began trying to track down Carrillo, first serving a court order on a third-party text-messaging company she used to cloak her phone number and later going to Xplicit after a search of phone records turned up photos of a female with "numerous tattoos," police said.

A club employee identified a dancer known as Motivation, and her employee application gave police a name and Social Security number, according to court documents.

The identity turned out to be stolen from a woman in El Paso, Texas, police said, but an address tied to the strip-club employment documents ultimately led officers to Carrillo.

The client was able to identify Carrillo from a photo lineup on Monday, police said.

Carrillo was being held on a $75,000 bond, according to court documents.

Why do people keep that kind of cash in home. I'd also like to know how old "the client" is.
