Looking to spend 300-500 on a good scope. My uncle has a friend that can get Optima scopes at a discounted rate, but I don't know much about Optima. What should I get? TIA

Me either, which is why I came here to ask. When you google them, a lot of air rifle links pop up.

My Uncle gave me the wrong brand, it's meopta scopes that his friend gets the discounts on. No Optima.

Meopta is a good brand. Just ask anyone at bowies. I swear meopta sends prostitutes to their meetings every time someone that works at bowies mentions meopta.

Yeah, Meopta makes some phenomenal scopes. For a 444 I would go 1-6 power or 1-4.

Will be getting one next week. Wife surprised me with the .444 for Christmas. Pretty nice little rifle. CVA elite stalker, camo stock with stainless steel barrel.

I have several .444's (Marlin, T/C, h&r). I've always used Leupold for them. I've never had a problem. Friend of mine had h&r .444 and blew through 3 or 4 scopes (cheap) busting out reticles from recoil. He finally put a decent scope (nikon/Leupold) and has no trouble since.
