You wanna know how I know I am a racist? It took me about 4-5 episodes before I could tell all the Chinese women apart.

I watched the first two episodes last night and I was struggling to tell some characters apart.

My favorite show in the whole world is Mad Men. I promise it has nothing to do with attention span.

Alright I am having a hard time finishing this show. I just finished episode 4. I was fully engaged after episode 1. But now it has gotten dull. I think the biggest thing for me is the accents. They are awful. I know that this shows target audience is mainly English speaking people. But holy shite the accents are just killing the show for me.

Does it pick up or get better after episode 4?

I really enjoyed it. For a first season it was great. Benedict Wong is awesome as Khan.

Looking forward to season 2.

I still haven't watched episode 3. After the first two episodes, there are no characters or storylines that have engaged me. The only thing I've really liked has been the landscape photography. The blind kung fu dude riding into battle was even more ridiculous than the accents. I kept hoping he'd make Marco try to grab a pebble from his hand.

Meh

As I said before, I'd finish just to know. Just because of the curiosity.

Just finished the season. I enjoyed it thought visually it was stunning. Was a little slow getting started but thought it progressed well after the first couple episodes. Found it interesting that Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo) had never heard of Netflix and had to learn English for the role.

Most of the show had to learn English.

I guess everyone is allowed to have an opinion, but it seems preemptive to give up or make up your mind about a show only 2-3 episodes in.

I for one couldn't get enough of it. My only regret....starting it with only one season out. Now I have to wait for the second.

ETA: A lot of people thought Game of Thrones started slow. We all see where that went

Recently picked back up on Netflix. Question...with new shows, do they release episodes weekly or all at once like they did for Arrested Development?

Just starting and I can't get past everyone speaking English. Did they think subtitles would be an issue?

Still wish Sergei Bodrov would have completed his Mongol trilogy on Genghis Khan.

Not sure why the "accents" bother people since it is supposed to be in English
The people they cast are not American as they had to learn English for the roles.

About Marco Polo's time with the Kublai Khan, based on real thing that happened but this is fiction. Some action, some drama, good storytelling imo

I'm saving this show for my Christmas break. Gotta finish the last season of house, then the 3rd season of Lillyhammer.
