I'm not in favor of hitting kids like that, but he was never convicted on a crime, didn't take any PED, did nothing that should effect his NFL career yet he is suspended for a season.
LOTS of guys in the NFL have been convicted of a crime and been suspended for less time if at all. There is video evidence of what Ray Rice did and since charges weren't pressed, he's back.

AP should sue the shite out of the NFL, not just for salary lost, but for damage to his reputation causing him to lose millions in endorsements

He made 8 million this year. I don't feel bad for him at all.

Didn't he admit to abusing his child?

on what grounds? I may be wrong, but as an employee of the NFL, don't they have every right to suspend him as they see fit?

He spanked his kid. Give me a freaking break. Liberals are ruining this country.
For the record I hate the vikings and do not like Peterson but he is getting screwed here.

Yes and as an employee he has every right to sue them if he feels they suspended him wrongly.

And yea he admitted he shouldn't have gone that far with disciplining his kid, I'm not saying he could get ALL of his endorsement money back. I am saying his suspension cost him money in endorsement on top of what he already was going to lose

He did more than just "spank his kid"

Still shouldn't be suspended from the NFL though

He lost his endorsement money before he was suspended by the NFL.

I'm struggling to see why the NFL should be on the hook for his loss of endorsement money.

Yes, and he pled no contest to a misdemeanor reckless assault charge.

I do believe the suspension is a joke, however. They suspended him under the Personal Conduct policy, not the Domestic Violence policy. And have basically said that he won't be reinstated because he's "not sorry enough."

It's also an indefinite suspension.

I understand what he pled to. However, we all know what he did.

The nfl don't owe him anything. He lost endorsments because of how he treated his kids. He'd have lost them if he were playing too.

He was indicted by a Grand Jury in Texas. Texas Grand Juries are voluntary and frequently made up of pro-law enforcement, middle-aged, white men. A group of people not usually identifiable as liberal in Texas.

Bc suspending him indefinitely for this while allowing people who have done worse things to play with either no or less than a season suspension is hypocritical

I hate hypocrites

Meh, Peterson is a POS. I really don't care.

Unless it gets Goodell fired, then I'm all on Peterson's side.
