So has anybody heard if Brandon is still getting or is gonna be getting 1/2 the reps in practice? if we get ahead early against ND wouldn't it make sense to put Harris in the 2nd half and get the QB competition started for next year?......I know I'm not expecting anything like common seinse to prevail but we can all dream

Common sense and Les Miles in the same sentence does not compute.

In all liklihood, Harris will not play unless Jennings gets injured or LSU is winning by a large margin (which ain't gonna happen with our offense).

Well if you look at the last 2 games and the lies Miles told before the game about Harris playing, unfortunately your dream ain't coming true!

Harris will play later in the 4th quarter when LSU is either up or down by 35 points.

This is probably true, but I hope not. I would like to see Harris get another chance....this year.

Not going to happen period. It would open CLM to too much criticism if Harris does well

Miles will say:

"We will give both QB's a lot of work in practice"...This means than Brandon will throw the ball a few times.

"Brandon has a chance to compete for playing time"...This does not mean contend for playing time, but to be allowed to show what he has for the sake of development.

Meanwhile, unless we get up on the Domers by a lot, Brandon will not play. If we do get up on them a lot, it also means that Brandon will get into the game and hand the ball off a lot, and be allowed to run most of the plays, and to throw a very limited number of times. It also means that Jennings will get another start and another win, giving Miles the justification to make Jennings, a Jr in 2015, the starter heading into Spring...which means no matter what happens in the "spring competition (remember, he will look ok in practice because he has the green jersey of protection on, rendering hardly anything of relevance to a game situation), Jennings will be our starter for the 2015 season.

Harris is hosed. I'd be more than happy if Miles goes against his tendencies and does something else.

I guess I'm missing something. With the QB situation being what it is, wouldn't it be better to give one QB the vast majority of reps in order to develop? At this point just pick one and go.

He won't play barring an injury to AJ or unless LSU gets in a position to where they can run out the clock...key word being 'run' as in zero passes.

I imagine there are 2 different modes in practice. Jennings gets game preparations, while I think Harris continues to get an intensive "this is our offense" course.
If we could find out what backs are involved, i.e. who spends time with Magee (the guy who knows what's going on) vs Fournette (the future), it would help clarify. I bet Harris spends a lot more time working with Fournette than Magee.
The WRs, I suppose, go back and forth between the 2. They're all young and need to learn, but we need them on the field too.

This is how I imagine game prep by qb...

Jennings gets a play out of the game plan to run until the o knows it backwards. Then they run another in the same fashion.

Harris gets some obscure play out to the massive 200 page playbook and gets to run it once. Then another in the same fashion.

The handling of Brandon Harris was the biggest failure of the season.
