They had astronomy labs? Serious question, that sounds pretty cool. Y'all got to use university telescopes and such?

In high school, biology.

In college, business law. I had Phil Breaux. That dude was amazing.

Hell yeah... I actually learned a lot about constellations (of which there are only 88, btw) and used some cool telescopes.

Problem was, the labs didn't start until 9pm

That does sound awesome. I took the intro astronomy just for shits and giggles, in case I ever get on Jeopardy. It was a great class even though the professor obviously couldn't give a shite about an intro class. But shite, I really wish I'd known about the labs.

I think they were "ASTR 1008" and "ASTR 1009"... I think it's cool to know things about the ecliptic, constellations, large bodies, the "why" behind Pluto not being classified as a planet anymore, etc... I would gas beers after class on T/TH and show up with a good buzz and go into the observatory above the ASTR building

Oooo.. I forgot about "Intro to Film: Emphasis on Horror Genre" was pretty tight. We'd watch a horror movie every week and learn about the auteurs background and their influences, etc

After you learn about style and technique, it's hard to be frightened anymore
