Teague cooking the gumbo out there today. Should be a good time. His gumbo will win no doubt.

I'm moving in a month and never seen this.

However, it it a worth going if you're not involved? What i've heard from a family is that they went to see it was kind of like going to a tailgate where you don't know anyone. It's fun to see but kind of awkward after about 30 mins watching everyone's individual parties.

We used to set up a bon fire every year on the levee in front of my buddies house. Always a good time.

Go before they light off and check out some of the designs, they have some pretty awesome and creative ones

Festival of the Bon Fires is a good time. I rather it than the actual fires on the levee Christmas Eve.

I always enjoy it. Gumbo cook-off today. Bag of Donuts plays tomorrow night, and Van Broussard Sunday afternoon. They also light one bonfire on the levee tonight and tomorrow night at 7 with a shuttle that will take you to the levee from the festival.
