I don't get this negatiger talking point. Do some people honestly believe that miles/Cameron don't want an offense that scores as many touchdowns as is good for the team? I have seen this being tossed around on here the past few weeks, and it is dumb.

Every offense is designed to score touchdowns. Some just succeed more than others. The ones that at least have a passing aspect along with a strong run game, seems to be a recipe for success.

Just relax and never link a REX quote again to prove your point. It is a message board. Full of all types of people. I love LSU football, but I'm not obsessed with it.

LSU was not good on offense this year. Everybody understands this and hopefully they will improve.

I am sure the staff "wants" to score TD's. But the offense we put on the field isn't competent enough in the passing game to keep defenses honest thus making it difficult to score points.

It's not about the desire to score. I am sure they want to, I am sure the staff believes the offense we run can score.

But without a competent passing game we are not scoring enough points.

An offense that mostly consists of constantly running off center is not designed to do much of anything except punt. We didn't score at all against ARKansas. that is an offense that sucks big time. Inexcusable. The quote can probably be attributed to most of our opponents before and after we play them.

I think it means we won't have a kicking game, unless you count punting...

I see this talking point in different forms, usually to justify LSU's chronically underachieving offenses. The offense is about ball control, or doesn't score much bc it doesn't need to, or imposing will etc

Probably means the offence is designed to eat up clock with ball control, limiting the time the opponent's offence is in possession of the ball.
