16 teams is excessive. Four is a great number, imo. You will never miss out on a team with a #1 vote.

Four neutral site games in a row is a lot to ask for a fan base. Five if you include CCGs. Any expansion should include campus game, IMO.

they didn't sponsor that game for too many years.

Blockbuster Bowl (1990–1993)
Carquest Bowl (1994–1997)
MicronPC Bowl (1998)
MicronPC.com Bowl (1999–2000)
Visit Florida Tangerine Bowl (2001)
Mazda Tangerine Bowl (2002–2003)
Champs Sports Bowl (2004–2011)
Russell Athletic Bowl (2012-now)

This is retarded. Who the frick schedules your #1 and #2 seeds to play in the second round?

Anarchists, that's who.

Yeah, they didn't think that one through.

I don't like the first 2 rounds being played at bowls. Are fans really going to travel potentially 4 times for bowls?

A much smarter and I think way more fun option would be to have the first 2 rounds played at the home venue of the higher seeded teams. IE 1 v 16, 2 v 15, and so on.

Amen! However, I must point out that you'll always have clowns like John Feinstein who voted Boise State #1 following their Fiesta Bowl win over Oklahoma, despite the fact that even Chris Peterson didn't vote them #1.

UF would have been there too, but we couldn't go to a bowl game that year.

6 teams are perfect. Top two seeds are rewarded a bye for having good seasons

1,2,3,4 on one side and 5,6,7,8 on the other? that is stupid. This would make people go nuts if it was the bracket for a 6th grade girls basketball tournament

There would have been a 2 loss team in a 4 team playoff if the seeding was reflective of what a selection committee would have decided.

Death to the BCS did this a few years ago and it was based on the premise that the system has to give very conference a shot or will face some type of lawsuit.
