Justin Masterson has agreed with Red Sox
Francisco Liriano back to Pirates 4 years
David Robertson to White Sox
TRADES
Jeff Samardazja to White Sox for Marcus Semien, right-hander Chris Bassitt, catcher Josh Phegley and first baseman Rangel Ravelo to the A's.
Jimmy Rollins traded to LAD
Yoenis Cespedes to Tigers for Rick Porcello
The Dodgers sent second baseman Dee Gordon, pitcher Dan Haren and Rojas to the Miami Marlins, and received left-hander Andrew Heaney, infielder Enrique Hernandez, reliever Chris Hatcher and minor leaguer Austin Barnes.
Heaney was then traded to LAA for Howie Kendrick
Wade Miley to Red Sox for Allen Webster & Ruby De La Rosa & PTBNL
Matt Kemp & Tim Federowicz to San Diego for Yasmani Grandal, Joe Weiland, and another prospect

Don't like what the Reds are doing. On paper, they had a team that was ready to contend right now. They just needed Votto back healthy. If by mid season they felt as if they couldn't hack it, they could still get a premium return. I think their rebuild is starting a little premature.

Rangers just took Delino Deshields Jr in the rule 5 draft. I thought he was one of HOUs top guys?

Yeah but I liked Simon a lot. I would rather they trade Bailey than Simon. My problem is we aren't getting any hitting back from these trades.

Former top prospect when the system was much weaker. He's fallen out of most top 100 prospect rankings. Its likely that he'll be returned to the Astros. Rule 5s have to stay on the major league roster and its much harder to hide a position player all season. DDj struggled in his first season at AA (.236) and he's not a defensive whiz. His only value at the ML level in 2015 would be his speed.

I'm not disagreeing with trading Simon necessarily I just wish we were gettting some hitting out of it. But that aside Bailey sucks. I would have traded him like 4 years ago.
