Luckily, it's a pitcher's park. Mind boggling but they hit it pretty big with Hughes last season. I think I saw on the MLB Network last night that Ervin Santana has a great track record against AL Central teams... a low 2 ERA or something like that. It was late though and I was half asleep so I could have heard wrong. I guess if Ubaldo got that much in Baltimore, it's pretty on par with his market value.

It does but no one cares about them anymore. They could probably be forgotten about until Sano, Buxton, and Meyer are up.

Still shocked the Dodgers got rid of Kemp (while eating salary) instead of Either/Crawford when Kemp is the better player.

I would have to think with the Dodgers willing to eat so much salary there was a market. I think the Dodgers felt Kemp was not the player he was in the second half of the season but the first half, or he has other issues we won't know about.
Crawford has 2 years at 71m
Either has 3 years (one a vesting option) at 38m with buyout
If Dodgers were willing to eat 32m of Kemp's deal they wouldn't eat say 20-25m of a lesser player?

He's always injured and isn't in his prime anymore. He has bad knees and he's not an elite power hitter. He was the only marketable player of the three. It was an opportune time to get rid of his contract after his second half last season. That's pretty much all there's to it. I'm not sure they can find a buyer for the other two even if they ate half their contracts. And if they did, all they could probably get back is a bag of balls because even with the money they'd be getting back, those two would still be overpaid. They might be better off Alex Rios'ing Either like Toronto did a few years back and suck it up with Crawford until he builds some trade value.

honestly im not sure i like any move the dodgers made besides getting Rollins, who is on his last legs anyway

Their production, age, injury history, and contract makes them appealing to no one.

Crawford has 3 years left at over 20 million per season hasn't been healthy for the past 4 years. It's hard to pay all that even if the Dodgers ate half the contract... for a platoon player. If he shows that he's healthy, then they would have a better chance moving him. Either has 53.5 million owed over the next 3 seasons. Ain't nobody wants to pay Either 9 million a year even if the Dodgers eat half.
