and amnesty for illegal aliens.

They can whine, cry, and complain about ObamaCare and illegal immigration in front of camera's all day long and they can continue to criticize the Dem's who voted for ObamaCare, they can rake this idiot Gruber over the coals for show, but...

to turn around and vote yes for a spending bill that fully funds ObamaCare (and more) and Obama's actions to give illegals amnesty is equivalent to voting "yes" for the original ObamaCare bill, all of its regulations, all of the IRS crap that accompanies it, and amnesty for illegals.

I laugh in disgust at Repubes who were grilling that Gruber dude in the hearings, but turn around and vote to approve funding for ObamaCare.

Fact is - they either really support big, bloated, corrupt Federal Government, or they are cowards who fear standing up to Obama to fight for what is right, cowards who fear the media blaming them for a "government shutdown".

But hey, they stood their ground against the new light bulbs! Woohoo!

Where did you get this poor information, it does NOT fun the DHS or the immigration action, as this is outlined below towards the end. You are wrong.

The elections weren't an endorsement of Yertle. The American people punished the Democrats for their idiocy the past 8 years.

Then why not make a real statement and show the Republicans that they aren't going to put up with their shite either... Vote for a candidate that isn't an R or a D

Again, the American people are stupid as are Republicans who play the "Oh, we hate democrats because they do x x and x.... But our reps aren't that bad when they do the same things or go back on campaign promises.... At least they aren't dems"

Obamacare is dead after SCOTUS gets it in March. Why should the GOP take an unnecessary hit at a time it is impotent to do a damn thing about Obamacare anyway? You think this Senate would have voted to defund Obamacare?

EVER?
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES?

WTF do you people want!

ACA will still be alive in 14 states. And then the 36 states will be given one year to come up with an exchange. Some states may go in together.

What about this quote from Congressman Rob Woodall?

“While the bill implements restraints on executive overreach in many areas, it could not turn off the funding stream that the President intends to use for his executive actions on immigration. As conservatives, we have all been very frustrated by recent attempts at unilateral lawmaking by the Obama Administration."

Technically perhaps. It just won't have insurance carriers financially capable of enacting it.

I didn't expect much to change. I can't stand Obama or the Democratic platform but the basic problems in Washington has been going on for decades and both parties are at fault. I wish we could get rid of the whole 535 all at once and start over. They are all corrupt and care more about enriching themselves and getting reelected than in helping our country.

Hannity pretty much nailed it last night...said that Boehnor's alliance with Obama is like ignoring the voters in the last election. Went on to speculate on Boehnor's chances for remaining Speaker...and then laughed at the idea that he'd get a lot of Dem support to remain Speaker. Disgusting.

Even Michelle Bachmann said that "they would never have had this vote BEFORE the election". Spot on. And that "this deal" was made way back (with Obama)...because both the RINOS (Boehnor, et al) and Obama want Amnesty. Obama gets credit...and Boehnor don't get blamed (by the Right).....win-win for both. Big loss for those who voted to stop this crap in the last election.

I hope they run Boehnor's arse out. He could have put that CR through for a couple of months with ease. Traitor.

Until we as a people start to elect third party candidates nothing will change.

I don't believe you understand the "amnesty" issue.

Obama never issued an executive order pertaining to "amnesty". Look it up, you'll never find it. All he did was issue a memo to the DHS to redefine the criteria to deport illegals under the precedent of "Executive Discretion". However in this case executive discretion has been expanded.

But from a practical matter how do you get a president to enforce a law that he doesn't want to? Well, congress could impeach, but they're not going there. They could file a lawsuit, but the court not going to touch this. I suppose the next best alternative is to impeached Secretary Jeh Johnson. Congress is not going there either.

So what's going to happen in reality?

The illegals that are currently live in the U.S. with family members that are U.S. citizens will likely file for citizenship to avoid deportation.

The illegals that have no family will remain in the shadows. Why? Because they are currently getting paid cash for their work. Why would they risk losing tax free money? Most of them won't.
