That will be an improvement. Les catches hell now when he wins.

I'm going to go for realistic (because Jimbo is about as realistic as Urban Meyer):

Gary Patterson
Art Briles
Mark Dantonio

Honorable Mention: Mike Gundy, Todd Graham, Jim Mora, Jr., Dabo Swinney

Miles is not going anywhere... as for all the names that keep coming up, none will be take the LSU job in the very slight chance that he does leave.

Gary Patterson - TCU will open up the checkbook for him to stay.plus I'll bet he would rather live in Ft. Worth than Baton Rouge and he can win a championship at TCU

Art Briles - nope

Mark Dantonio - no

Mike Gundy - If T Boone did not like him, he would be gone, ergo, T. Boone like Gundy

Todd Graham - yeah I want that male version of someone who will sleep with someone for money. Good coach, but if the pros came a sniffing, he'd be gone in a New York second.

Jim Mora, Jr. He's a good coach and I think if Miles left he would be a very good fit

Dabo - Great with offenses, but has choked in big games, He still has not answered for the 70 that WVU laid on him in the Orange Bowl....probably has a PI in Tuscaloosa waiting for the minute Saban makes up his mind to retire

while I understand this line of thinking, he really was on pace to do some damage at Tennessee and had probation holding him back at USC.

1. Nick Saban
2. Rush Limbaugh
3. Bono

No one else could ever live up to the expectations of this fan base.

Memphis is my second team, so I know he is very likely the real deal. However, I also know that taking him right now is almost as big a reach as UT taking Dooley. He just hasn't proven enough yet to get a job like this.

This may be true, but Miles hasn't had major health issues. Cutcliffe has. He didn't seem to like the pressure of being a HC in the SEC in the early 2000s. How do you think he would handle it now? It's only gotten worse. Considering that he basically fired himself at OM, I can't see him back in this conference. He is right where he belongs, and will keep on doing well at Duke.

Jimbo just isn't that good of a coach IMO, even with one of the most talented teams in the country he is just barely beating shite teams.

Look at what you just said. And read it again. And again. And again.

You obviously have Les Miles on your mind.

Apparently not with one loss though. The SEC comes with a harder schedule, but also with more talent and more breathing room with a loss.

I'm assuming this is supposed to be Payton. FYI: Sean makes 8 million a year

Isn't leaving TCU. FYI: he makes over 4 million

He makes over 7 million a year and he isn't leaving alabama.

C Lester Miles

It's going to be 3 - 5 years more of CLM. Beat three weak sister teams a year. Go 5 - 4 to 7 - 2 against the remaining 9. Still better than anything other than Saban.

not true IMO

plenty of coaches could do well if they were handed the keys

look at this last recruiting class and the all freshman team

david shaw makes les miles look like mike leach. the dude is way too conservative. stanford has regressed during shaw's tenure. he is awful.
can we stop with this blatant lie? his first 3 seasons his teams won their division and went to a BCS Bowl. The last 2 years he did it without Andrew Luck. This year they've taken a step back. A step so far back that if they win a bowl game, it will be equal to Jim Harbaugh's second best season at Stanford.

David Shaw is doing just fine.

stanford football-
2010 with harbaugh- 12-1. 4 td win in orange bowl
2011 shaw- 11-2 lose the fiesta bowl
2012- 12-2 6 pt win over a 8-5 wisky team in rose bowl coached by their AD
2013- 11-3 loss in rose bowl
2014- 7-5

that is regression. shaw's main flaw is his style is way too conservative and his x's and o's are poor. this first became evident in the fiesta bowl loss as he relied heavily on a freshman kicker instead of all world qb andrew luck. stanford's generally poor performance in bowl games under him shows he doesn't do well with time to prepare.
