Did Chad Kelly Visit LSU Before Signing With Ole Miss?

Chad Kelly, quarterback from East Mississippi Community College, signed with Ole Miss a day or so ago. I am hearing mixed reports on the radio here in MS as to whether he visited LSU or not. Some folks are saying that he went down and threw for Les and Cam, but they chose not to offer...
Is that true?...

Several days ago his cc coach was quoted saying cameron was sticking with his current qbs

I hope this kid doesn't haunt us at Ole Miss. He is a stud that probably would have come here had we offered.

There was obviously contact that the LSU side tried to keep quiet. I haven't seen any reports of him coming down to workout for Les and Cam but I wouldn't doubt it.

Ole Miss's Wallace says in the Tupelo,Ms. paper today that Chad Kelly will take his place next year and start. We let him get away, he won the Jr,College Championship and was No.1 in JC. They say on the radio that Cameron didn't want him at LSU and he was recruited. He is better than our QB's. I wanted him. The talk that he's cocky and a smart-eleck is true. He does talk back to people. He'll play against us next year.

He seems good enough to help us, but I have a feeling there were other issues involved either with him or retaining the current qbs. It's very possible that Cam didn't see a great need for him. Cam's big plan may be revealed soon enough with a nice amount of time to prepare for the bowl game.

Cameron visited that school I believe and had discussions there, no visit was ever set up.
I don't really think Kelly is the answer, he committed to Ole Miss and hasn't visited there either. It's a more open path at Ole Miss. He's not coming to LSU and starting day 1.
Plus if he is the backup LSU does not need a head case at that position that argued with Clemson offensive coaches. If he was pissed there imagine trying to run the LSU offense.

Chad Kelly took his official visit Wednesday at Ole Piss, Bo Wallace was with him a lot. All in the Ms. newspapers and sports talk radio. We'll get someone else.

"Cocky & a smart aleck & he does talk back to people"? He was kicked off the team, & no player is kicked off any team for anything like that. His issues at Clemson went well past this & it was not a one time offense. Or second or third. His own teammates could not stand him. The black bears taking him just reeks of desperation at that position.

This guy is nothing close to Mett. Mett showed signs of maturity and growth. This kid really hasnt. I cant wait for the first game where shite goes wrong and he loses it again. Here is the link to a previous thread where I spoke about Kelly and his antics.
