How much would your school pay to hire Ray Lewis as an Asst. Coach?

I don't care for him as a TV commentator. He just seems odd on camera in a suit, it just seems off. He's not made out for that job.
He is a natural for the college game and recruiting.
We have Randy Shannon who is a hell of a coach and recruiter. If we end up promoting Shannon to DC in the next couple seasons, I hope we do whatever it takes to get Ray Lewis on board as a LB coach.
Ray's surely got enough money in the bank to not need to put up with the hours and hassle of being a coach. He seems like a guy that would get sick of retirement and being around the family 24-7 after 3-4 years of it. These HC salaries are big enough now to attract former high profile athletes, whom aren't known to make the best decisions with their playing days salaries.
Lewis could probably name his price and pick his school. Would not want him at Miami, he'd single handedly bring the Canes back to the top 15 just by closing recruits.

I'd cut him a nice salary.

How much did Ray pay to beat the murder charge?
LSU would pay way less than that.

He could probably make just as much going from college to college and giving motivational speeches.

None. Great players rarely make good coaches.

Give him whatever amount of money he wants and cede over all pregame and halftime speech duties to him.
Would be a baller recruiter like no one has ever seen. Imagine this guy in the locker room before a game against Bama:

I don't know if Ray would be interested in coaching. I do agree he could get a team fired up. I would hate to be one of his LBs and miss an assignment, then have to go to the sideline for a chat with Ray.

He looks awkward because he's trying to hide the blood stains.

$0. LSU had the chance to hire Kevin Mawae as OL coach after 16 yrs in NFL and two terms as Pres of NFLPA for several yrs. Add six pro-bowls and eight All-Pro yrs. CLM passed on it.
