Great christmas classic.

What ive learned from this movie:

Its not ok to pick on the weird kid if he can help you in some way

Santa is a close minded a-hole who berates someone different than the norm

Donner is the overbearing parent who cant get in touch with his kids feelings

The elves clan leader is the biiggest prick in movie history. Anyone who doesnt want to make toys all day isnt worth a life. And they must also not get breaks from work. Someone call the cops on this child labor enforcer.

Mrs claus is force feeding her husband into obesity the rest of society is gonna have to pay for. What a thoughtless scumbag.

We all need to have a little Yukon Cornelius in us.

Also, I read in article today that the writers admitted at one time that the reason the normal looking doll was on the Island of Misfit Toys was because she had a psychiatric disorder.

Nice
Yukon is the redeeming part of this movie. It wouldnt be what it is without him. Slaying the monster, treasure hunting, being a damn alpha

Hermey escapes child labor - which causes a massive spike in suicides among children - To go into dentistry - Which has the highest suicide rate among adult professions.

That bird made it perfectly clear that the reason he was on the island was because he couldn't fly but instead could swim... And that a-hole elf throws him out of the sleigh without an umbrella???

That HNIC elf has a way different voice when he talks to Santa before his elves sing.

Hermey is so suspect.

Hell, that is one of the best messages in the whole movie. Right up there with the 'it is alright to be different' message. Don't be a lazy bum, get off your arse and work for a living.

Yeah. That whole "what a shame, and he had a good take off too" bit was just strange. Like they were trying to play it off on Donner being the judgmental one but in reality it seems like Santa was being one too.

I would get a shiver up my spine when he made his first appearance--until I was at least 30.

And who is old enough to remember this preceding the airing of Rudolph:
