I'm here for the rest of the week. What are some good places for dinner food/drinks?
I didn't bring any really nice clothes, so nothing real fancy. Just good food and an unwind kind of bar. TIA food snobs

You like messican food? Go to the OK Bicycle shop. Get some guac, salsas and tacos.

Guys at Cottage Hill told me to go to The Hungry Owl. Supposedly a great burger and beer selection. I can't vouch for it as it was closed when I was passing through.
I can vouch for Cottage Hill as the place for all of your craft beer purchasing needs, however.

Ok bicycle shop - Mexican
Wintzells - oysters
Cafe 615 - upscale
We used to hit up this little pizza shop that had a great beer selection but I can remeber the damn name. It's been a few years since I lived in Mobile

Do yourself a favor and go eat at Yen. It's a Vietnamese restaurant, but it'll be a short drive to the hood. You won't get better Vietnamese food. Huge menu with all sorts of stuff, I think Birdsnest vermicelli was last recommendation I had but I didn't see it on the menu...good luck with that. Very, very good place, and low key as all get out - I mean it's in the hood so what can they expect?

Downtown main drags you're fine. Side streets get dark quick. You gonna be there next Tuesday?

Had a nice and inexpensive lunch once at Mediterranean Sandwich Co. 274 Dauphin Street
Small place that fills up quickly at lunch.

I may be there too. If so I'll buy you a beer and we can discuss hunting dogs and such.

Give me a shout if you are. KR has my number.
Ate at some sports bar close to the hotel because I had some work left to do. I'll try to get out some more tomorrow.

Ain't none downtown, but if I was there for the rest of the week, I would head to Godfather's Pizza and order a Combo with extra cheese.

Went in there during Mardi Gras a couple of years ago with a group of folks. We were buying full bottles of Gallo family or something as I recall it.
