What would you like to see them tackle next? What epic would serve as a worthy encore?

I (of course) would love to see what they could do with The Dark
Tower.

Locke & Key would be cool, too.

Thinking of virgin material here...maybe a re-boot, even. what would my fellow nerds suggest?

I've always wanted to see the Left Behind book series brought to premium cable or film.

you could do the whole thing in about 24-30 1 hour episodes.

C.S. Friedman - Coldfire Trilogy. Completely different angle on the recent Vampire kick.

Let them finish ASoIaF before tackling any new series. HBO has always been hampered by budget issues, they don't need to be investing any capital in anything until Game of Thrones is finished.

The Galactic Center Saga. But they could skip to Great Sky River.

Say one thing for MasCervezas... Say that he knows a great series when he reads one.

Demon Cycle books by Peter V. Brett would be badass.

I think The Gentleman Bastards series would make for great TV.

Name of the Wind might be a little too meandering but I would love to see Rothfuss' series brought to life as well.

I'm interested to see how Stars pulls off American Gods.

As for HBO, I would love to see a Night Angel Trilogy series made. Lots of rich material there.

Also, Sandman, The Dresden Files, Drizzt, Black Company, just to name a few.

Damn. Can't believe I left this out. This is a definite one. It is the stuff of TV shows. Each book is, in essence, a season already wrapped up into a neat little bundle, with a larger arc carrying throughout the story. It is absolutely perfect for a TV treatment. If Lynch can pump out two more in the series in the next three years as he has planned, he'd only have 2 left in the series to finish. At that point, given his track record, I think it would be worth going after with the proper showrunners.

This was an extremely poorly written series. Very amateur. I still read it all though.
