Why are people complaining about the rankings?

Seems like they did a good job to me

First 3 were obvious. The playoff did its job. It gave these 3 teams a chance at the title whereas the BCS wouldn't have.

Baylor would have been in if they take care of business against West Virginia, so tough luck.

TCU would have been in if they didn't have a meltdown against Baylor, so tough luck.

Big 12 needs a championship game, it's their own fault

Ohio State had a meltdown vs VT, your points are irrelevant.

because this board hates Ohio State and has a hard on for TCU. it's been a recurring thing for years

Yeah, 59-0 against a highly ranked team is very impressive. The rankings are fine

And with that meltdown, they had to put their hopes in a committee instead of being in automatically. They could have slept easy last night. They played with fire and came away safe... this time.

Why do they release weekly rankings if they don't mean anything? Do away with the weekly poll and you don't have people calling you out this week.

I think they got it perfectly right. Ranking and all.

The whole point of the committee/4-team-playoff is to be sure we don't exclude one of the two best teams. This year with the BCS, one of Bama/Oregon/FSU would've been left out, so this year fixes that problem - exactly as intended.

Perfect job by the committee IMO

Yeah that was a terrible PI call. They still gave up 24 points in the 4th quarter though.

I'd rather a committee that can recognize they made a mistake and correct it then some of the shite we've seen before.

They came away safe because they want Ohio State over TCU, and Baylor. Put Oklahoma/Texas in TCU's spot and they are in the playoffs.
