She could have been a bitch, and she was not.

Thank you.

I don't think people realize that she has fought for Louisiana on some issues.

I know it not popular on the board to say but she has represented our energy interest, moratorium, coastal erosion and brought home some pork for infrastructure projects over the years.

I've always been of the opinion that it benefits the state to have a senator from each party representing us. We are able to hedge as power shifts in Washington.

She fights for local politicians, powerful special interest and welfare. That is how she comes to think she fights for Louisiana.

Causing me and hundreds of thousands of more Louisianians to pay more than double what we were paying for health issue is not fighting for Louisiana.

To bad protecting Louisiana tax payers was not a priority for her.

so for doing what politicians do we're supposed to forget that she was the deciding vote on Obamacare? In doing so defiantly, even TAUNTINGLY going against the wishes of the population of her state?

Hopefully you say this because you do not understand the long-term effects of that little piece of legislation. Otherwise I'd think you were just another poli-board dumbass.

7 downvotes? Really?

Everyone (including me) expected a scorched earth meltdown, and she was actually upbeat and pleasant.

I don't like her, but she deserves credit.

Considering that there are a couple of posters on this board that hopes she "eats lead" and wanted to make it a point to state that they didn't care a volunteer died because said volunteer was a "leftist", "measured compliments" might not play as well here tonight as they would usually.

Exactly. She had that as the golden paracute in the back of her head when she voted for Obamacare. She is about to lose some power but double her salary.
