Any suggestions for a week at Easter break?
I'm not too picky, the kids are happy anywhere basically, I just need a comfortable place for 5 people, a decent community-type pool and quick beach access.
A condo would work in a pinch. No hotels.
Whachagots?

airbnb or site of the same. You're fighting snowbirds right now so you may not get what you want unless you're willing to pay.

Went to orange beach last year for the first time in 10-12 years.
I was pleasantly surprised.

Still not 30-a though.

I'm finding $700 a night at Seaside for an average place on VRBO and others.
I'm looking for a week for under $2500.

I went to Portofino Pensacola last year and go to Destin Hilton most years but really looking for a relatively nice home/condo where I can relax and the kids can hit the beach.

Has anybody been to Watercolor?

Wow. That's beautiful. But sadly, booked on April 4-11.

Too bad. I personally think Rosemary is nicer than Seaside.

Try watersound or watersound west. It's mainly just houses so you'd have to drive a mile or so for restaurants but may be cheaper.

Yes, it's nice and expensive, but east of Destin and west of Panama is the right spot to search, IMO.

Blue Mountain, Grayton, Santa Rosa all on 30A a. Few others as well. Not as much as Seaside or Watercolor or Rosemary. I've stayed all up and down 30 A. You might have to walk a block to the beach but so what. Bring a bike. I stay in Watercolor now mostly because several friends have homes there and I kind of glome on.

Are you watching the Truman Show now? If not its on. Just getting ready to interview Cristol.
