Is it just me, or is this board kind of slow this year relative to last year?

Is it because there is no talk of Saban leaving Alabama? It can't be that though, right? This is an LSU* board after all and there is a potential** Miles might leave and it still seems as though the board is dead relative to last year.

Is it the lack of flight tracking? A coaching changes board without constant updates of birds in the sky is just not the same. And yes, I know that Michigan has blocked their planes from tracking. Yet still, Flightaware for the coaching changes board is just plain fun...it really is. The board feels a bit more empty without it.

Is it both?

I will say this though...If Miles does leave, I sincerely hope LSU does not block it's flights.

*I am completely cognizant of the fact that Saban leaving Alabama would mean a lot to an LSU board, perhaps even more than Miles leaving LSU.

**There is a potential, as far as all of us know and however slight it may be, that he goes to Michigan. So those who say there is no such potential, kindly STFU.

TL;DR. This board is slow compared to last year without Saban, planes, and Saban's head on a plane gifs.

This board was all Saban Texas insanity last year. The year bbefore it was Cleveland. There has to be a Saban to something somewhere for max entertainment.

Saban going to Texas would have greatly affected the entire landscape of college football. If you can't see why that was more exciting/interesting than who Michigan has hired on December 6th on this(or any) board, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

I understand the Saban factor in this (or any) board. However, this is an LSU board first and foremost and the board still seems kind of slow, even though we might have a potential opening in our head coaching position.

One would think that the board would be more active with the possibility of Miles leaving rather than Saban. But that is the Saban, and particularly LSU/Saban, factor I suppose.

I still think the lack of flightaware fun has some influence however.

1) It's still really early. The championship games haven't even been played yet.

2) 2 of the 3 biggest openings (Florida and Nebraska) both hired their coaches within days with almost no public search whatsoever. There was hardly any time for rumors.

3) Texas >>>>>> Michigan(as far as current interest)

4) Saban >>> Miles (as far as interest)

5) Miles is very likely not a legit candidate at this point. Now, if they swing and miss and their 1st 2-3 choices and throw 5 million per at him and beg him to save them, we'll see. But most of us realize that is extremely unlikely.

Miles ain't leaving, so this place is slow. If Miles were to leave, this place would become a zoo with all the speculation of a new coach. Last year would be child's play compared to the "Harbaugh go LSU" threads.

Good point.

Another good point.

Even an LSU board though, especially considering the UM connection to our coach?

Still, it is an LSU board.

He probably isn't going anywhere. Yet still I figured there would be similar activity on this board relative to last year considering last year was potentially Saban and this year Miles.

Like you said though, it is early.

It is an LSU board and Saban is our former coach and current arch nemesis. Of course you're right there was huge internet in him leaving not only our conference, but our division. But the thought of him at Texas was also extremely intriguing in and of itself.

This board is full of shitty Miles Michigan threads. Shitty threads aren'teexciting. The retard portion of your fan base praying your ggreat coachleaves because he went 8-4 are stupid and bringing the board down.

It's funny and sad at the same time that Saban and Bama totally consumes the LSU fanbase. Lsu has a great program and probably will play for a championship next but ya'll are so insecure.

I don't think anyone believes that another school wants Les Miles anymore. It doesn't look like he would be a front runner if Harbaugh wasn't available.

And then we have all the threads from the pumpers defending the amazingly underperforming offenses we have put forth over the years.

Michigan would be dumb not to come after Miles

They are in the same boat as Nebraska on the level of hire they can draw. Seriously, they thumbing their noses at Les when they are coming off the Hoke hire, please.
