So I think I made a big mistake. On my first trip to Hypogean Gaol I never lit the lamp at the top, I instead stumbled into the Darkbeast Paarl boss fight and killed him easy. Now I'm trying to get back to Hypogean Gaol and I can't get there from Paarl's lamp. The sack guys don't bring me there either. Anyone know another way to get there?

If you didn't open the door that leads back to Old Yharnam, you can just wait until after you beat Rom. There's not much to do there until you do.

The Old Yharnam door is open but Rom opens a path to Hypogean Gaol?

In nightmare frontier with 52 insight. Almost got one shotted by that brain thing's frenzy attack. Unlocked elevator shortcut and calling it a night

Go to the cathedral and hang a left, instead of going to Hemwick. Keep going, you'll fight some enemies and enter a colloseum looking place, you'll be abducted by Amygdala and taken to Yahar'gul but the lantern there will be gone.

Also just finished The Witch of Hemwick boss fight and to be honest the armored troll dude in central Yharnam is 5x harder.

yea if it wasn't for the poison he would be easy. If you can avoid it then it's great but once he gets you once it's a bitch to stay alive. He gets real aggressive and doesn't let you heal up. Either way he's dead now.

I was running around lastnight and went in the area where you fight Father Gascoigne.
Didn't think much of it, just wanted to hit up the lamp back the homebase. Well, a freaking hunter jumps out and starts attacking me.
While we're fighting it out, out of nowhere another hunter jumps in and the two hunters start fighting each other.
This normal, hapen to anyone else?

I killed him last night too and got my sword bought and enhanced to +4. I'm not really sure where to go now though. I opened up the unseen city, but it is a little tough right now. The gates everywhere else seem to be locked though. I'm sure I missed something.

Yes, this happened to me last night too! I was trying to check in on Father Gas' daughter to see if I could recruit her and she was gone. I then was headed to that lamp to get back to Hunter's Dream. Found the hunter and died. Respawned, ran back, and saw them fighting. Helped her kill him and it's the same NPC as earlier.
She hunts hunters. This makes me realize that I've probably a ton of cool stuff like that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.
I'm going to have to do a bit of exploring now. I beat Witch and Hemwick. Unlocked the basement door on the Healing Church Workshop. Only have the Gaol and the gunner from the cathedral left alive.
ETA: My insight is at 13 and the echo prices on the shop just shot up for all items.
