The fact is no one knows even if they answer this question. If they do answer it only means one thing. THEY GUESSED!!!

To everyone thinking that AJ wont be the starter if Les is still here... have you not paid attention to the loyalty issues over the last, i dunno, decade?

AJ will continue to start... we will continue to dominate in run game only... we will lose 3-4 games.

I paid attention this year. That freshman that you don't think will get a chance got snaps in the FIRST game of the season and actually started an SEC game.

Harris is simply not good enough. Yes, he could sling it but he is dumb as a brick. AJ is our only chance at victory

If Harris isn't starting he needs to get far away.

I generally suport Les Miles but my answer is:

Other - and the other is "I don't understand the game of football and player selection as well as I think I do."

More productive?

Jennings didn't produce anything. No way in hell Harris can't turn and hand the ball of 90% of the time and get a few throws to learn. Next year Les will just say he is playing the experienced guy. Well if you would have given Brandon some play time...

It's nearly unanimous in the blogosphere, media, fan base, board membership, church congregations, union halls, wherever, that Anthony Jennings is not SEC material.... and yet Les and Cam spent almost ZERO time trying to prepare Brandon Harris for the future.

The future does not look bright at quarterback. Les and Cam get a big fat ZERO for development.

You would rather lose the game by starting the hard worker with no talent to send a message than start the supremely more talented and by all accounts a very decent worker and try to win the game. Buddy you are the epitome of the Les Miles era Super fan.

I don't care how hard Jennings works, he doesn't have it. He probably works so hard because he know by no other reason would he start. And all Les is worried about is sending a message.

What's gonna be very funny is when reports come out that the WRs and Harris are spending extra time here and there working together to put it all together like Mett/Landry/OBJ did, and no one wants to work with Jennings.

Jennings was the safe way to go at QB. Loyalty isnt the issue imo.

Correct, all the starts Jennings had on the road from previous years were what the made the difference.

This. JJ/JL aren't comparable to AJ/BH IMO. Harris is light years ahead of Jennings as far as talent is concerned. There wasn't much of a difference between JJ and JL talent wise. One could run, but couldn't pass. The other could pass, but couldn't run.

The gap was already close and Harris has the far greater ceiling. Harris did not get a fair shake whatsoever getting removed for one bad start as a true freshman on the road. Jt Barrett for Ohio st had a terrible 3 int game at home as a redshirt freshman and lost.. But then he bounced back to have heisman like numbers this season after his one bad outing.. Jennings had several poor performances and struggled to complete even 50% of his passes.. While Brandon Harris outplayed him in every other opportunity.. Once leading LSU to like 10 straight TDs..

Soulja gets it.

Les is basically content to "go the safe route". BUT, you will never get to the top unless you are willing to take a risk or two. It takes a game or two to get your feet under you. Urban Meyer was basically forced into that "non-safe" route due to Braxtons injury.

For those that don't understand the position it takes a lot more than arm talent to play QB at the D1 level. True freshmen just are not ready that early. If Jennings was even average no one would've cared if Harris redshirted or not. Point is Jennings was not good but does anyone think Harris would've been better with even a year less knowledge of the offense and college defenses?
