have you not paid attention to the loyalty issues over the last, i dunno, decade?

You mean like the "loyalty issues" which had JJ on the bench 5 games after he returned or the "loyalty issues" which had Jennings on the bench for Auburn?

I think we will be paying our OC like 1.5 mil next season. I'm thinking Cam will have some serious impact on our starting QB and who he might be.

Jennings was the safe way to go at QB. Loyalty isnt the issue imo.

If Harris wants to play he needs to be ready, if he wants to play at the next level , he needs to be ready, the world and NFL will not wait on him

If he is smart he spends every available off season hour learning plays , watching film and learning to read defense- the rest Cam can teach him- mechanics, progression etc

If Brandon is ready Jennings sits.

This is all on Brandon. Cam nor Les want a repeat of last year

It will be the real beginning of Miles undoing. (unless a JUCO is the starter)

It won't happen, but it would be because of the same reaso he hasn't beat him out this year. Jennigs outworked the kid.

He arrived earlier, stayed later, did more film study, etc. If by the end of spring Harris couldnt figure it out, he has only himself to blame.

If you are the underclassman, you have to outwork the older and more experienced player. Very rarely will talent get you there alone with a head coach that has a tendency to not trust younger kids based on talent alone.

If Harris gets outworked in bowl preparation and in the off-season, he deserves to rot on the bench until he figures it out. I don't give a shite how talented he is.

JJ Part II but actually much worse. Never thought it could be worse than that mess but Miles found a way to do it.
Still amazed that Miles sh-t all over J Lee after being the Best QB in the SEC when JJ was looking at Jail Time. Thanks to Hillard, we won the SEC CG but Miles gave us NO chance against AL on 1/9 leaving JJ in the entire game.

We had to deal with it with welter starting for far too long when it was obvious to everyone.. Hopefully we don't have to deal with it too much longer on Jennings starting over our more skilled quarterback.

Being more skilled doesn't necessarily equate to being more productive on the field. Harris needed some time to grow and learn. He looked no where near ready early in the year.

Technically, they're not wrong. At the point that he got benched, Lee led the conference in pass efficiency by a pretty fair margin and had a 13/1 TD/INT ratio.

The gap was already close and Harris has the far greater ceiling. Harris did not get a fair shake whatsoever getting removed for one bad start as a true freshman on the road. Jt Barrett for Ohio st had a terrible 3 int game at home as a redshirt freshman and lost.. But then he bounced back to have heisman like numbers this season after his one bad outing.. Jennings had several poor performances and struggled to complete even 50% of his passes.. While Brandon Harris outplayed him in every other opportunity.. Once leading LSU to like 10 straight TDs.. Regardless of competition it was still competition that Jennings struggled mightily against. Miles has got to coach up his better takent and give them the confidence to succeed and trust to overcome mistakes.

Wow!!! Look, I don't think Lee should have basically disappeared from the team after the first Alabama game, but LSU wasn't winning that game with him in there. Lee was terrified. He took a bad snap and literally, in a panic, just threw the ball down field without even looking as to who might have been in the area.

There are times that Les's decision making absolutely frustrates the shite out of me, but I don't think he is in the business of intentionally trying to lose games.

That's just not true. Les intentionally tries to lose games just to pi$$ of and frustrate all of the fans that know more about football than he does.
He teaches QB's to miss open receivers, throw interceptions and get sacked. The receivers are taught to drop the ball and have to run the stadium for every one they catch. The Offensive linemen get extra food if they miss blocks.
Don't even get me started on the kickers or the defense.

It's all a plot to get you.

J Lee was at the top of the SEC QB ratings his Sr season when JJ was looking at jail time. He hit the AL game, made 2 mistakes and was done.
We had no QB issues at the start of 2011

Bingo - that was my reference. Had a high QB rating
Really was just an example of how Miles has consistently freaked up the QB situation for years.

Agree. I'll give them a pass this season. If Harris is not ready next year, either he's not applying himself or we have a serious coaching issue. No program I can think of has had as many QB issues as LSU, and it has cost us at least two possible championship opportunities over time. Harris has to be ready unless we get a stud JUCO QB, because Jennings just isn't good. Knows the offense well, but not a good QB.
