Getting a new job and will be moving to New Orleans. Will be working from home but also out visiting customers all over the New Orleans area so commute isn't an issue.

I've heard Kenner is a great spot to live too?

I am 25 with a wife who will be moving with me, unfortunately, and also needing a backyard for our dogs.

Please give me some advice!

Well then you aren't living in Nola. You mean someone told you Kenner was a great spot to live in Jefferson Parish I assume...????

How much are you willing to spend. Greatest factor.

Lakeview/Lake Vista, Uptown, Warehouse District, Mid City, Old Metairie (even thought it's not in New Orleans).

Budget is the biggest factor.

Backyard = Lakeview (the whole lake area, not just including the actual Lakeview neighborhood), new Metairie, or across the lake.

How often and much you'll be driving around will dictate if the northshore is a feasible option.

Price will dictate if lakeview/lakefront is feasible.

How big of a yard? What's your budget? Do you care about parks? Restaurants? Museums? Drugs?... what peaks you interest?

Where is majority of your clients? outside of Nola where you need access to I10?

What does your wife look like?

Looking around the $1,000-$1,400 range.

Wife works from home too. She's also in sales and her territory is the Midwest. Don't need a huge yard, just a solid space for our pups to do their thing.

We enjoy restaurants, of course, and are out of the "party scene" but do enjoy going out every now and listening to live music.

Don't live in Kenner or anything else outside of the city. Don't live on the northshore, you're too young.

You can live just about anywhere.

Do you want to be able to walk everywhere or do you like it being a little quieter and having space?

Fighting tigers, we enjoy the space but also not being too far away from the fun. Trying to find something in the middle, if that makes sense.
