I'm running Lubuntu right now, and have had Mint in the past past. How does it compare? Going to give it a test run over the weekend, but just thought I'd see if anybody really liked/hated it.
From the screenshots, it definitely looks like the best looking Linux distro.

I remember looking at it a few years back. Was styled quite like OSX but basically just ubuntu on the backend. Not really my thing but was definitely designed to be pretty. Haven't looked lately. FWIW I'm vanilla ubuntu on my home desktop

It looks really nice, but you're right - it's essentially OSX UI with some tweaks.
It wouldn't find my ethernet or wifi driver which was a pain. Even trying to force feed it internet by connecting my phone and pushing it through that way wasn't working, so I got fed up. This is the only distro that has done that to me, so I was unfamiliar with it.
Downloaded what I hope are the appropriate Linux compatible drivers, and I'll probably go back later and try to get it to work again. As of right now, staying with Lubuntu.

Is this who bought out PearOS? I had finally gotten around to trying that out, but it was no longer available for download. I don't particularly have much use for a pretty version of an already functional OS, but when it comes to helping out friends/family that have older machines but don't want to pay for a new one and are hesitant to learn something totally new, I think this has a lot of positives. If it has internet connectivity issues out of the box, those positives are starting to fade and push me back to teaching people regular-old Gnome or KDE Ubuntu (probably the latter).
Let us know if you get it working! Could be a great alternative OS if it's something simple that you're overlooking.
